My name is Erica Tegelaar and I founded Juridica Translations in 2017, after having worked in various legal positions for more than 10 years. I made the switch to translation, specializing in legal, because this work is where my heart really lies and where I can express my passion for print, both the large and the small print.

Legal background
Before starting as a translator, I worked as a junior civil-law notary in inheritance law, law of persons and family law, company law and immovable property law. I also have experience as a policy lawyer and notarial lawyer. I now apply all this work experience to translating legal documents for corporate and private clients.
Education and further training
I successfully completed my English Translation Studies at the ITV University of Applied Sciences for Translation and Interpreting and went on to take a postgraduate specialization course in legal translation.
The fact that I am a sworn translator and listed in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv) does not mean that the learning stops there. On the contrary, I am obligated to continuously keep my knowledge and skills up to date. For you, this means that you can be confident that translations are carried out in accordance with current standards and quality requirements.
